He probably hates his job too, I know I do. Only been here for around 5 months but I know I always try a lot harder for the drivers who were friendly to me/helped me finish up their trucks. The guys that get there a little early and watch me struggle with 4 blown out trucks can keep getting bad loads all peak.
Don't expect a driver to come in early to work for free helping you load a truck, it's not going to happen.

As a preloader I love this thread, funny to see some of the things I've done in here. One of my drivers left me snacks in his truck on Friday and I made sure he had the best load I could give, a little kindness goes a long way.

I give my loader $100 at Christmas as my way of saying "thanks" for all that he does throughout the year.

Seems like to me. Most of you guys, reload/ re-organize your trucks at some point in the day. Hell they should just make u load it your self. That way its orgainzed like you want.

Driver preload used to be the norm until the company figured out that they could hire PTers at a much lower pay rate to load and unload the pkg cars.

Wasn't really talking about coming in early but if you come in after 9 and see I'm struggling because they wanna shove 1k packages across 4 cars in 4 hours then whatever. Enjoy the 5 bags worth of smalls I throw into the front.

I feel like I'm being roasted...it's a dream come true!

I don't do most of this :censored2: though.

That's fine. My driver loved the job I did on his truck the other day with 468 pieces. Honestly just tell your loader (if it's the same one everyday) what you like/don't like. I listen so that's why my drivers get mad when I get moved.

Man, I would have loved only 250 per car as a preloader.

Me too. In my building they have us coming in at 1 am and then we load up the trucks with whats in the bins + a little more. Then we stand around until most of the rest comes around 5. 2 of my trucks were 400+ and the other 2 were 300+ on Friday.
