He is talking about the letters that every hourly gets inviting them to apply for a position in management. It is not what we used to call a letter of intent.

The result is the same. The company sends out letters soliciting letters of intent. So even tho the terminology is not totally correct the theme is.

We have the option to change jobs contrary to what the management poster said. It was posted to goad hourly bargaining unit members basically saying we are limited in our job selections.
