I am making the point that if the mad at china for lying about coronavirus is real, then trump who was directly believing and praising china's coronavirus response has to look like a huge fool to those people, but they aren't saying trump is a huge incompetent fool for believing china's lies, so its all pretend nonsense.

Do you also feel foolish when you read that prominent Democrats early on downplayed the seriousness of the virus and encouraged people to go to festivals, go out and eat, travel?

That number was and still is in the realm of possibility. Models show probabilities, 2.2 million dead was on the high end of the distribution. It’s pretty bad right now, had we done nothing it would be much worse.
