Government shut DOWN

Sometimes I feel like you should provide subtitles for your random musings. Then we'd know what you're really trying to say, instead of a continuous line of country philosophy that sounds like it came from Tennessee Ernie Ford. Lots of Muslims down there, I'll bet.

Muslims here...nope. Muslims are fine. Freedom of religion.

The radicals that fly planes into buildings and self detonate in the name of jihad don't have freedom of religion. They are a small part of the Islamic extremist religion and actions speak louder than words.

Even these radicals have NOTHING to do with the Idiot redneck in Chief's decision to closed empty parking lots and national parks that are normally open to the public with no government employees stationed there while the government is open and working.

Counter productive sure comes to mind on this one. Sheeple does as well. The Chicago way at it's finest.

That what happens when a "community organizer" is elected to the highest office in the land. He is just using the tools of his trade instead of leadership and compromise.

The mandate has been waived for business and unions for a year, why not "change" the law again and waive it for individuals and have Obama care cover the congress critters?

The shut down would be resolved, the spending would continue and we would continue down the road to oblivion.

We have to pass it to know what's in it. :wink2:

Who shut the government down? the Republicans. You know, the ones that are all pro-military and all.

It takes two parties to shut it down, neither side is compromising based on ideological principles. As usual we all suffer as a direct result.

The last time the Senate passed a budget was on April 29, 2009

Headed out to Knob Creek, KY. Have a great weekend.

I will see everyone Tuesday morning for stretch and flex.

Sorry, but your GOP buddies shut the government down. They're also the first ones to screw veterans whenever they get a chance, even though they lay claim to "caring more about our Vets". BS.

What would happen if 6 months from now when the money to pay the bills was appropriated, President Obama refused to allow the Treasury Secretary to pay said bills unless Congress signed on to his agenda in its entirety? That's why Obama won't "negotiate with the hostage takers".

If he has the money and refuses to pay the bills then it will be entirely on him. And MFE, it doesn't matter if the GOP constitutionally used what power they had in an attempt to negotiate over Obamacare. What did matter is they, the administration, DO have the money to pay the death benefits to grieving families, and some idiot in the White House thought it would score political points with the public by not paying it, blaming it on the shutdown. Should have never happened.

What a crock. Why do you think the military votes overwhelmingly Republican? Why do you think the Dems tried to disqualify overseas military voters in the 2000 election?

They'll get back pay... they can get a loan in the worst case scenario for this. But it does make for good made for TV drama.

And that is why this shutdown is all on the Republicans.

Sure, pay for an expensive funeral. The government will make up for it eventually.

Is this the FOX lead story? I'm sure the usual suspects have been exploiting this for all it is worth...sickening. How do you KNOW the White House was playing politics with the military families? Is it because FOX told you, or is it a simple fact of the shutdown? What really sickens me is how the Right pretends to be all about supporting the military, when the exact opposite is true in the case of supporting programs that would actually help Vets. The GOP considers them a "handout".
