SOB gonna be frothing at the mouth, red in the face, steam coming out his ears, and shrieking for an offer.
UPS management is going to try to play hard to get, then run down the clock. They'll probably jerk him around on Thursday, not reurn his calls on Friday-Monday... Stretch the 4th holiday until next Thurs. Tuesday the 11th they'll finally get together, and the company will throw out a boat load of red herrings to drag things out until Thursday again. Then, they'll make an offer that's just north of insulting. Scurry off, and run down the clock until the 20th... Then, the media, government, wall street will make threats on the company's behalf.

The feds already have this Contract on their radar.
If a strike happens it will not only involve UPS and the Teamsters, it could lead to a nationwide/international shut down of our economies.
The public will support the strikers just like they did back in 1997. They will see through the Company’s hypocrisy of crying poor, especially after seeing other smaller companies less profitable settle their contracts with substantial wage increases and better working conditions.
