The thing is that you don't often see fundamentalist types, as you call us, instigating conflict over scripture. We believe what we believe and believe the Bible backs us up. It's almost always, as in much of life, the liberal Christian who isn't satisfied with that and tells us we're bigoted, chauvinists, etc. We believe sin is sin, and that the Bible clarifies what is sinful. The liberal Christian wants abortion to be ok, wants being gay to be ok, explains away criminal behavior as the product of a broken home and we must be willing to overlook such things. While those that rage against Christianity from the outside see a unified Christendom against what they support and accept, within Christendom there is a huge range of opinions on how to live life and please God. Integrity is free in this life to believe what he does. We believe, as "fundamentalists", that we'll all be judged by how we've lived. And that none of us are perfect but are sinful in the sight of God, Christian or not. So let's not be lifted up with pride. But beware of anyone that tells you he's got a special relationship with God, doesn't sin, and that he's above it all. And denys it while casting aspersions on those who don't see it his way.
