Maybe, but that doesn’t make it right. It’s interesting you don’t think there’s Christians in the Middle East as well. And funny enough I wasn’t born into Christianity chose it on my own.
Yeah I know you did. I asked you why you did and not just join Christianity but take a hard line fundamentalist view point? Do you just hate losing arguments against other fundamentalists like @BrownFlush (not talking :censored2: but he does take a very hard nosed approach to the importance of scripture it appears).

Why did you choose to be this kind of Christian over an @Integrity kind? Why are you focused on this slippery slope of inequality over just loving people?

Honestly integrity might be a fundamentalist type too. Maybe he is just a fundamentalist over what Jesus said and interprets the “gospels or the book” from lens of these people aren’t Jesus, maybe they carry his message but I should be filtering them for their flaws.

I’m not certain what you mean by fundamentalist. I don’t get into arguments about doctrine much because at the end of the day most important thing to a Christian should be saying Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. Everything else is a bunch of arguing amongst people who don’t really get to decide. In the end, and just to reiterate, I posted a different video on the same thing I believe. If you really want to know what I believe and don’t believe pay close attention to the video.

And it’s a woman respect. I’ll watch it.

I don’t think @Integrity lacks love for the scriptures if he will sit here for 50 pages discussing it with people. The rest of that is too compact to get a good meaning out of it. Integrity could watch that video and agree with it, anyone who draws meaning from Jesus or scriptures covering his teaching from all the different people could draw meaning from that video.

I don’t think I ever said he doesn’t love the Bible. I just questioned why he believes only some of it. It’s still his choice.

I love Charles dickens books they have meaning far beyond just the story, but that does not mean they are life-changing

You keep going in circles ignoring my question and what is left unanswered. Yes I fully agree with both these arguments. Now explain to me why god discriminated against women.
Since I'm not God I can only go on what I've read. Man was created first. Woman was created to be a helper and companion to man. And Woman succumbed to temptation first. Whether you believe in that or not that's at the start of the Bible.

The thing is that you don't often see fundamentalist types, as you call us, instigating conflict over scripture. We believe what we believe and believe the Bible backs us up. It's almost always, as in much of life, the liberal Christian who isn't satisfied with that and tells us we're bigoted, chauvinists, etc. We believe sin is sin, and that the Bible clarifies what is sinful. The liberal Christian wants abortion to be ok, wants being gay to be ok, explains away criminal behavior as the product of a broken home and we must be willing to overlook such things. While those that rage against Christianity from the outside see a unified Christendom against what they support and accept, within Christendom there is a huge range of opinions on how to live life and please God. Integrity is free in this life to believe what he does. We believe, as "fundamentalists", that we'll all be judged by how we've lived. And that none of us are perfect but are sinful in the sight of God, Christian or not. So let's not be lifted up with pride. But beware of anyone that tells you he's got a special relationship with God, doesn't sin, and that he's above it all. And denys it while casting aspersions on those who don't see it his way.

Okay now explain how it isn’t bigoted to not allow women to be pastors.

And those women are free to leave. No one is forcing them to stay, if that’s how they feel. And no, I do not believe I will judge anyone because I’m not the judge. I can only tell you what my convictions, and what the Bible says.
Good point.

Your interpretation or simply what it says?
I think I’ve also stated I believe people like you who don’t believe any of it make more sense than those who only believe some of it.
Not sure I understand but I respect your point of view.
Either all the Bible is true inspired word of God. or none of it is.
Not a big proponent of all or nothing thinking when it comes to religion.

I would not consider myself a fundamentalist, or a fundamentalist type.

I do believe in God and I do hold high the teachings and example of Jesus and put my faith in my belief in His sacrificial love over all religious traditions written or not.

I respect everyone’s right to belief and live as they personally see fit, even it is to choose to not believe as I do.

The bible tells a tale where the presence of a woman created far more problems than it solved.

There are few things more true than that.
