Thought it was obvious. YOU have decided what's oppression and what isn't according to your personal values. If a Bible verse is in conflict with what you personally believe you ignore it. What matters to you isn't submitting to God's will but your conclusions about what God wants based on your personal beliefs. And of course what God wants is what you want because you're right.

Yes really. I do not limit the God of the universe to sacred scripture passed down through religious traditions.

I do love the Bible and find it very useful in my religious and spiritual life with God though.

I do love the Bible and find it very useful in my religious and spiritual life with God though.

Frankly, some of the members on here, who say the whole thing is a fairytale and a sky god is more respectable than your position. and I think I’m in good company when I say that because the Bible would that you were hot or cold, but because you’re lukewarm, he will spit you out of his mouth.
