You can not exceed 14 hours in a day. That includes lunch and breaks.

You must have 10 hours rest between shifts.

34hour rest to refresh your bank of hours.

So if you start at 9am and work till 11pm and take a full hour lunch. You can begin working again at 9am the next day. Here we only take 30 min lunches not 1 hour.

What did I miss?

Why? I can read. It doesn’t take much to understand the hours of service regulations. Or even much effort to find them. Maybe you should try it before you go off trying to sound like a tough guy. You really just sound like a troll.

Regulations Section

There.... I did the work for you.

Please I am dying to know what I forgot. I looked at the regs even call the number for CA DOT at 916 930 2760 to complain and get clarification about what they were doing. I have also lived them last peak. Please share your knowledge where my scenario is wrong.

We can keep going back and forth saying "No you're wrong" but I at least put something out there instead of just saying "you're a idiot" over and over like you are. Now it's your turn. Put up or shut up. Not even your own Feeder driver colleagues agree with you. Here I'll invite some to tell what I'm missing because if I'm wrong I want to know where.

the contract is favored by the feeder drivers I have been speaking to and I agreed at first but overall it is not very good for everyone else.

they should let retirees vote because we have something at stake but we don't pay dues anymore.

I agree with you. ... about people calling others idiot when they don't understand or agree with what you say. I worked under the 70/8 rules for non union companies for almost 14 years before UPS which for now has the 60 hour rule.

I think the confusion stems from the DOT tweeking or changing the rules once in awhile. Sometimes they are even confused when you ask them a question at the scales.

UPS has had the 70/8 rule for a long time. It's just now a big issue because it went nation wide last peak.

The only thing I see that you missed is the fact that breaks are also subtracted from HOS. We are relieved of duty so the paid break time doesn't count.

The 60/7 and 70/8 start over after each reset. I stay in coverage by choice and often reset twice in a week.

You're right. I knew that but tried to keep it simple by just saying 14 hours including lunch and breaks.

We only get a 30min lunch here and 2- 15 min breaks that's why I still counted a 1 hour lunch.

Thanks for reading and the comment. Appreciate it.

our hub worked under the 60 hour rule. at least 3 years ago it did before I retired. call 1800-334-6261 and ask them.

and ask them if I worked there. they know me by Little Soprano or that feeder driver that lived 40 miles from the hub. I don't want to give too much identifying info on here.

you'll have to speak to Phil, the center manager. I used to give him books. He wanted to give me a party when I left but I did not want one. he also asked me to stay on to continue mentoring other feeder drivers. or you can ask Randy in payroll if he is still there.

but i am betting none of you clowns have the balls to call.

Why are they in favor??? I’m going to guess that much of that sleeper work is going to be centered in very large buildings or places that already run a ton of sleeper teams like Ontario Ca or Lenexa Ks... but I guess we’ll see....it’s all speculation at this point

So everybody I talk to is saying 70 hours and a Monday through Sunday delivery... holy crap fellas. Obviously all the high seniority guys don't give a damn, because it won't be them working 70 or Saturdays and Sundays. But for all the lower seniority guys and swing drivers.. looks like we're in for hell. Lube up fellas.

70 hours plus 20 bonus hours sounds delicious.
