Anyone hear anything about unused sick time payout?

We get our days on the 1st of the year and are paid for any unused ones on or around 12/15.

I always run out of days before I run out of year.

177 here. You should get paid for your unused sick time in the checks that come 5/19.

Sick days reset May 1, but the pay period that that date fell in started on Sunday, April 30.

You guys are lucky! We have to bank all of our sick time without being able to cash it out. Once we bank 75 days is when they cash out any days after 75.

Here our days carry over unless we ask for them to be paid off, except for contract years. They get paid off at the end of the contract.

Not really, not at all as matter of fact. The way we do that , essentially, is just call out sick on the day we need that day for whatever reason.

We are allowed to use them interchangeably; however, if we run out of sick days, they give us a hard time if we want to use a personal when we are really sick.

In the 177, the two are the same, (6 days). The 5 personal are taken in a whole.

No I wish! I have over 30 sick days I would love to use as personal days, or cash out.
