Getting word that Western PA and Local 243 went down in flames, satisfying the two-thirds/50% provisions of Article XII.....is it true?

I would have liked to see 243 get over that 50% total vote.

63% is still kind of a weak turn out for Western PA for such a bad TA but it's over 50%

Yes but what I mean is Western PA voted down the first one and then was given a worse contract. I would have thought the anger from that would push the voter turn out way up.

For anyone thinking this is any kind of win for the locals voting it down, it is not. They should prepare to get the most mediocre and lackluster supplement contract ever seen. If they actually go back to negotiations and dont have the IBT Constitution manipulated by the head honchos, there is a possibility they could get an even worse TA.
