I can't keep up with the number of times I've picked up the hand sanitizer to drink some tea ...

Trump’s believed the ban would stop the spread of the virus, but that was wrong and it failed. By the time they identified the virus as new, Americans who were in China had already come back to America, even after the ban Americans in China were coming back and finally people from other nations who were in China, but went to their home nation and then traveled to America were still coming in before and after the ban. So the theory of the ban was wrong and it failed.

Trump further failed by not getting the Mass testing that could have identified the virus and we could have isolated people And stopped the spread. South Korea had mass testing and social distancing and isolation a week after their first case. America..... still doesn’t have mass testing although that’s ramping Up quickly now. But the lack of Early testing was the major failure of trump to stop this virus from spreading.

Trump didn’t change his tone on the seriousness of the virus to the public until like March 17th or so, and now he is back to downplaying it again, what a failure as a president

Huh, I detailed trump’s utter failure as president. His travel ban failed to stop the spread of the virus as he wrongly thought it would, then he failed to get early testing like South Korea which could have stopped the spread of the virus, then he failed to lead on Early social distancing which could have slowed the spread of the virus earlier, and instead He downplayed the seriousness of the virus to the public.
His failure as president can’t be joked away. It’s right there and easy to see.

No it didn’t the virus is spreading exponentially in America. It took us a couple of months to get to 1000 deaths and 3 days to get to 2000 deaths.
The ban failed because by the time they identified the virus as new, Americans who were in China had already come back to America, and even after the travel ban, Americans were still returning from China, and finally people from other nations who were in China, went back to their home nation and then came to America before and after the travel ban, the ban failed, trump is failing.

Think logically about how this virus spread. The travel ban failed because not only for the reasons I listed about Americans returning from China and others whose home nation wasn’t in China but who were in China and then went home and then came to America, but it’s even worse then that as a policy.

Americans who were in say Thailand or Singapore who came into contact with people who were in China and then came home, or Americans who were in Europe but came into contact with Europeans who had been in China and then came home. Etc and so on, the reality is any Americans overseas during that time could have come into contact with a person had been in China. That’s why the policy is a failure.


The China travel ban is a failure that probably prevented very little.

Hindsight is 20/20. And what you described happened all over the world, not just here. And at the time Trump's ban was ridiculed by the media. However by the time we had a few cases in the States the virus had already blown up in China where they kept a lid on it until they couldn't hide it anymore. Too much happened to be laying it at the feet of any one individual.
