Over here in Dallas tx. Someone told me that they call by hire date. Which to me makes 0 since. Either he was miss inform or they are calling people up wrongfully or just randomly. If it was by hire date then the driver below me should have gone to class before me. But I have more full time seniority than him. Also too. They told me that you get feeder qualified seniority in feeders when you go to class. Not finish class

It could be qualified seniority when you start class, not when you finish. You might be right about that.
Junior driver? But yeah we finish training class in august last year. Did peak season with feeders then in January this year they sent the bottom 10 non seniority feeder qualified drivers back to package.
Ok since you’re already done with training I would file for your qualification seniority date to be changed because they trained out of order. This way they call you for runs that pop up before him and when it comes time to bid a run, you will get one before he does.

Yeah, I know. Our hub is pretty big. To me it’s big and old. I wanna say 230 feeder drivers. I hear way way back it would take easily 9 years plus to join feeders or even freight when it was still run by ups.
9? Took me 25 years to get into feeders.

25 would have been about average for my center. 30 would still put you near the bottom of seniority.

If I'd known just how easy feeders was I would have bid over there a lot sooner but I didn't start really hating delivery til my last few years there. Once I'd had enough I signed the first feeder bid sheet they hung and got in on that.
That happened with a few guys who had more full time years than me. They passed it up and myself and a few guys were able to sneak in. A couple eventually got tired of packages and came over.
I went there one time and I remember there was no lighting and trash everywhere in the 500s. And I thought some aryan brotherhood crackhead was going to jump in the tractor right there crossing under Northwest Highway.
Man that feeder department is mostly off the street hires now
Haha yeah Harry Hines is not a nice place. Strip clubs, porno shops, Asian massage parlors, prostitutes parading up and down the street. It’s probably the seediest part of Dallas. I started at that building and I’ve seen tons of messed up stuff around there
