The sad part is 30 plus years ago I was proud to put on this uniform. Its always been hard work however things made sense and we cared about customer service.Today this place is a :censored2:hole and all we care about is how much :censored2: you can jam in a truck and if you blow your horn and tuck in your mirror. I'm embarrassed to deliver all the smashed packages.I give ups about 20 more years and it's bankrupt maybe sooner

Thank you for coming out.
Its really sad to read that and I appologize to you for letting you down. You are a UPSer and we are very proud on what you do everyday. I respect you deeply for the secrefices you make day in day out.

Dont you agree that packages get destroyed by bad packaging not by always us?

As earlier said, the future of UPS is guarenteed.
We as UPSers set the tone.
I know David is making a lot of positive change.
It may take some time for some managers to understand his words as we did things the same way for decades and actually i can not blame them. But change is coming..do not lead by feartactics......coming to your center soon

Tell you what, send me your address and I'll send you my 'resignation'.

You are a funny guy, troll.

Tell you what, you help me in a positive and nuanced way by talking about UPS respectfully and submit leads and I will continue my quest making UPS employer number 1 in 10 years.
That counts for all layers in our organization including you.
I can not imagine you do nit want to make things better.
It might be a little over your head but Einstein wrote: if you think you will get a different result after doing the same thing over and over again you are wrong. So make a difference tomorrow.

Well they deleted how I really feel what's that tell you
ehm there is already so much sadness in the world we can not influance, but the thing you can change or can influance is the writing on this thread.

I know that among drivers a positive attitude is not always accepted by the group, but we are no sheep. stand up for yourself and your peers and customers. Our customers deserve the best.
the best drivers but also the best management. I would respect you very much if you are the one to make a change. You can change the ups world. While making UPS better you make yourself better. Thx.

Routes that are going out with 60+ stops more then they should,we can't service our pickups as it is,and we're losing work because of it. Sales leads would be great IF we put out more routes with the increased volume..i won't put one in just because I can't truthfully tell the customer we are better then the competition.

Oh...hey....we all would like things to be better. In fact, things were better when the employee mattered and the customer mattered and service mattered. But that UPS boat has sailed.
Now all that matters is stepping over dollar bills to pick up nickels. Honestly, from all outward appearances, all that the executives are concerned with is what they can do to please the stock holders. What they don't realize is that if the company is allowed to die a slow death then they(the executives) will have nothing to be an executive over. They started this and quite honestly it may be just too late to stop it.
Your enthusiasm is commendable, however when you spend so much time trying to air your suggestions for improvement on the deaf ears of management we all tend to become a little jaded on our view of the future.

We know and we are working on it but need the volume to create leverage to the network in order to make profit and justify cost of changing the current set up. please embrace the opportunity of getting a new customer on board. We all like that very much. Sure not everything in life goes the way as planned but most of the time it does and that piece makes us succesfull. Handing in leads ia always a good thing no matter the outcome. You yes you have worked out of the box by working on the future if ups. A very good day that makes you a very good UPSer where I am proud of but should make you even prouder. because U made Ups.

Abney made positive changes for a few months. Then got blasted by Wall Street for over hiring and everything went back to same old same old plus some.

We need volume like a hole in the head. Most of our buildings were too small twenty years ago.

That is something I can work with. Thank you.
I agree margins are getting tight when customers offer free shipping to customers. Someone needs to pay that bill.
And yes again you are right, we are a stock company and as long as we are on the market it will require us to keep growing the numbers. But have no fear, we will outpace the competition 4ever.

You do not have to cover upffor their inability to get our air here on time or to get us out of the building on time. Simply give them your immediate supervisor or center manager's name(s) and phone number and let them deal with it.

I had this problem with a customer furious about how close his delivery and pickup were and I gave him center managers name and number. Instantly the next day my on car says I don't care what the board says do him first after you get air off. Squeeze him in with air if you have time.
