ty contracts look in the mirror or at the guy across the belt. But mainly look at the guys in the southeast. They are the only reason this last contract passed.
There could easily be a clause in a contract stating if said contracted employee fails to deliver packages in stated terms they will be held responsible in for all costs pertaining to the effort to redeliver the package. UPS could charge them shipping prices etc etc.

You really should read the contract book a little more.
Not UPS's problem....insurance won't be on their hands. I've taken plenty of Ubers in the winter with snow on the ground.
