It wouldnt be a shockI can tell you that if they increase step 1 by 3% but not steps 2-10 there's going to be a bunch of off middle range people.
Yes swings are paid about $1 more to start and over the span of 10 steps they make $2 more.Do the steps differ between regions? If I got hired at $18.81, and I'm a new hire, what does that mean? Is there different steps for swing?

Probably Oct 2When do you start?
Step 2 in B2 market is $19.25Nah Step one just disappears, new hires get hired at step 2(which becomes the next step one...) Welcome to FDX we are all running as fast as we can UP the DOWN escalator...
Probably Oct 2
It does appear to be a bump to a B2 region. If the chart posted is correct it could also mean they are bumping some markets but not all.18.81 should be step 1 for a Base +2 region. That appears to include a 3% bump from last year, as mentioned.
Yes, swings are on a higher scale.

I think welfare pays about the same LOL.As a employee at less than step 5, I'm so proud to say I'm on pace to take home 18k this year after insurance and taxes... Thanks Fred!
Midrange was not treated well or fair at all. Topped out and new hires were the biological children, while midrange were the step kids.See my last post. The fact is you topped out a long time ago and were oblivious to what was going on around you. It was working for you, so must be working for everyone, right? By the way, there were a number of years that topped out people got 3% and we got 2%. If you make $15hr and get 2%, that's 30 cents. Topped out guy making $21hr(just throwing out numbers for comparison), got 63 cents on 3%. Year over year you guys were pulling away from us. At the same time starting pay was increasing 3%. After a number of years midrange employees were way behind top out, and not far ahead of starting pay. And then with the new pay plan employees with 10+ years were starting near bottom rung, no reward for all those years of hard work. Anyone who thinks the company was fair to midrange employees during this period is either oblivious, deranged, or a lying schill. Which are you?
At first change, we were giving an option to choose. Knowing that they never off anything didn't benefit them more that you, most people stayed in the traditional. It wasn't until it became law that we were forced to take the portable.2 things.
1. I don't ever remember anyone saying we had a choice to stay in traditional or go to portable. If they did give a choice, who would have ever agreed to switch? Maybe it was one of the many managers that lied to you lying to you again.
2. As of Feb. 2016, only 99 of the Fortune 500 (20%) offer any kind of pension. Think about that for a minute.
Before you bring up UPS pension, I would suggest you do a little research and see how the already retired and future retirees got screwed.
America at its finest. Mid range basically carries the old and the young but gets paid like the young and not the old.Midrange was not treated well or fair at all. Topped out and new hires were the biological children, while midrange were the step kids.
Looks like like it. Welcome to FredEx....I guess I'm in the B2 region?
The red headed step kids!Midrange was not treated well or fair at all. Topped out and new hires were the biological children, while midrange were the step kids.
